How to Write A Job Post: A Virtual Writing Workshop
Job descriptions are the currency of recruiting. You can not hire without one. Still, so many of us are left in the dark when it comes to how you write a better job posting.
When I started Three Ears Media, I offered free job post rewrites to over 300 companies who were hiring every kind of job you can think of from truck driver to software engineer, and CEO.
I wanted to understand if companies of different sizes struggled with the same problems when they wrote job postings. Where did recruiters need the most help? Would the challenges be different talking to a Fortune 500 and a small software firm?
The answer surprised me.
On teams of 1, 5, or 50 across every industry, the struggles were similar. No one I met was taught what good looks like when it comes to job posts, or how to write them. There was no class.
Until now, that is.
In this 2-hour online class, I'll teach you everything I learned and show you the examples I wrote along the way. I'll show you what best in class means, and how to write it every time without spending a ton of time on every post.
Now, while I've banned bullets from most job posts - I'll use them here so you can see a snapshot of what we'll cover in this 2-hour interactive workshop.
- Tailoring your hiring manager kickoff to get the right job intel
- How to translate skills into a job post that intrigues great candidates (and makes the wrong people opt-out)
- You'll rewrite your job post live, with edits and feedback from me
There's more practical advice, too. Can't spill all the goods here.
Contact me, Katrina Kibben, for any questions via email --> Katrina at threeearsmedia.com. I'll be your teacher and guide for this class. I can't wait to see you there.
